Audio Conservation

Audio conservation includes various physical treatments that are sometimes required to properly playback and digitize degraded or damaged sound recordings. The conservation services we provide include re-splicing snapped tapes, re-shelling tapes with damaged or poor-quality shells, cleaning tapes or discs, or baking tapes to reverse soft-binder-syndrome or sticky-shed syndrome. Cassette Duplication

We specialize in high-quality, short-run cassette duplication for independent artists and labels. We duplicate all cassettes in real-time direct from your digital master files (or analog master tape) using professional Tascam dubbing decks, NOT high speed duplicators. Because we are an artist-run studio, we also offer more flexibility for those who wish to use the distinct aesthetic characteristics of the audio cassette medium such as tape saturation to enhance a recording.
